tilt and trim went out, i found the one i need @ebasicpower.com for 169.99 i think it was.
I got a 1990 40hp 4cyl. mercury motor. Just wanted to know how hard is it to change out.
What i need, and should it mount right back w/o any kits . It looked like it would to me.
just dont know how to get it out. There is to bolts in the back of the t/t, so i need to know how to get it out.

    thanks for any info

I cant tell by your post. But if you are just replacing the unit with the same, it is a simple deal to do if you have tools.
Ask more questions if you like!!

If you are wanting to replace the cylinders also then is a 2 man job. If you are going to just replace the motor and pump combo then it ain't that hard. The other sounds rougher then it really is.

the motor and pump is one piece that comes together, is'nt it. the cylinder is good as far as i know.
motor stoped working. when its not raining, i will go take some pictures. so you can see what i got, and help walk me through getting it out. if you dont mind.
    Thanks again RICK
