Does anyone know how to cook gar? Can you eat them? Are they good?
I was told that the best way was to smoke them but the person that told me that never has tried it.

    Hello,
Many years ago my friend and I cought a 8lb. Gar on a troutline. We cooked it but it was not very good. When it gets cold its like rubber. I have eaten suckers , redhorse, carp, drum ,high fin buffs. and a ell. I pass on the Gar.
    Good Eating .
