Mike, do you like to use a slip sinker rig or a drop rig? I normally use a drop rig but notice a lot of catfishermen use the slip sinkers.

The most useful tip I've received so far as to how to catch a giant catfish is leave NY, and come down south and quit playin around with those channel cats.:worship:

I tend to use a slip sinker rig. I like to mix it up, but, I don't really notice a difference in number of fish caught with either rig. Just thought I'd stick my two cents in.

Do you use a rod and reel and fishing line, or just throw the bait out as chum?

If i'm gonna tight line it, i will use a drop sinker. If i'm gonna use the bait clicker, I will use a slip sinker so they can run with it.
