I was extremly bored early today so I did a complete inventory of all my treminal tackle, below is what I have on hand.

    150..8/0 gama circles

    50.. 7/0 gama circles

    25...5/0 gama circles

    25...8/0 gama j hooks

    50...4/0 eagle claw kahle hooks

    15..8/0 dahichi circle hooks

    15...7/0 team catfish circle hooks.

    300...barrel swivels

120-lbs of poured sinkers from 3-oz up to 8-oz

    3...castnets

    2- huge landing nets

2- sets of scales up to 50-lbs, I need bigger ones

1- 2-lb spool of viciuous off shore line in 30-lb test

2-1-lb spools of big game line in 25-lb test

1...spool of bass pro excell mono in 25-lb test.

Now this would probably last me several years, but I never feel I have enough.

So do you have any idea how much you have on hand? is it enough? lets here your inventory.

    That's a good start, but:

    • Get rid of the Big Game Line
    • Get rid of the Bass Pro line
    • Get more small Gammy Oct Circles

All I need are some 2 oz no-rolls and some 5 oz no rolls. Have plenty of 3 oz left from last year.

Will have to make an order of 7 and 10/O kahles online.

A person can never have enough fishing stuff! If your shed, workshop, garage, and bedroom don't look like a baitshop you need more stuff.

Glad to see some things have'nt changed , dont ya just hate that stupid cabin fever....or flu as it looks to be in Jack's case.

Well I still dont catfish as much as I used to , but I always have a good stock on hand if I ever get bitten real bad again.

Only hooks I use for flatheads in 10/0 & 12/0 Gama's 4x strong , never liked or will like circle hooks for flatheads . I have probably 6-8 packs unopened of both sizes.

Line - got all 4 shimano calcutta's (2-700CT's & 2-700CTE's) freshly spooled at the end of last season with 50 lb. test braided dacron , aint no way im using mono for flatheads in cover , learned that lesson many years ago. Also will not use superbraids , way too expensive for large caps. reels and they dont hold up like the dacron does in snags.
Sinkers- still always have various sizes from 1 oz. - 6oz. on hand , most of the time I tend to use 3-4oz.

Swivels - dont use them for flatheads , no need for a leader and the less knots the better.

About 4 cast nests in various sizes , 2 home bait tanks and 2 transport tanks.

If I fished open water for flatheads all the time I could get away with 20 lb. mono or smaller and long rods with baitrunner reels like I use on the Ohio river for long distance cattin. I got another 30+ lb. flatty this past season on my long european carp gear fishing below pike island..thats two over 30 lbs. on light gear fishing at over 100 yrds range...more like 150 yrds.

I don't lose much catfish tackle so I don't keep much on hand. Maybe a couple dozen assorted size hooks a few sinkers and swivels and that is about it. All kept in a tupaware box on the boat. Same with Crappie tackle, a few hooks, splitshots aand bobbers. However I have started some jigs etc... Now Walleye Musky and bass tackle is an intirely different animal, have several boxes of the stuff :sinister:
