How much does clean lead cost?

    I can get a hefty amount for a good price I think what do you guys pay? Or do you?

    no such thing as clean lead...it's all toxic:wink:

    however, i have no idea what pure lead brings:smile2:

    Scrap lead in OKC is .75 per pound. Just saw where walmart's is selling two 2 ounces bell sinkers for .59. So, that is 1/4 of a pound...cost them about eighteen cents for the lead, probably bought them for .35 cents and will double the cost as profit. Thats business.

    Your right there Lawrence. I worked for wal mart years ago and was surprised by the mark up of some of the hooks and sinkers. But I guess everyone has to make their better profits somewhere. As an average Wal Mart stores only have an average of a around 30 % but the small accessories have a lot greater markup and some of them have up to 70 to 80 % markup. The sinkers in the Sporting goods dept are some of those items that were marked up any where from 50 % to 80 % across the board. This may have changed some over the years since I have left but probably not by much.
