Anthony,Welcome to the BOC. I think you better get a copy of your states fishing regulations,There is a link on the state fishing forums,go there and look for a "Sticky" called State Agency's,just click on the one ya want.

Here in Tn if I am spider Rigging. I have 8 to 10 rods our the front of the boat. Each has 4 hooks per rod.
But fishing the way I did today only one rod and one jig.

That is totally dependent on state and varies greatly. Check your local laws. For example; Kentucky has no pole limit, Indiana has a 3 pole limit and Colorado has a 1 pole limit (you can buy an additional 'rod stamp' to allow you to have 2)

I usually just fish with 1 rod (though i usually carry 2). When i'm crappie fishing its early in the year i'm throwing small spinners. If i'm fishing with bait, i have a hard enough time keeping bait on one rod....i cant imagine 8 or 10. Plus there is a 2 rod limit here in maryland.
