I have, many times... long ago.
I have also, thanks for the memory
My daddy was a dairy farmer and I have seen him do it many times. Happy cats keep the mouses away :0a16:
Thanks for sharing . That photo is sooo cute.
Have done that more times than I would like to remember Ole. Only our cows tails never seemed that clean. Would always have to hold the tail between my knee and her hock to keep her from slapping it at me. At least these cows weren't wearing kickers.
seen a girl do it in a bar once  :cool2:
To a cat??????????????????
Sorry I couldn't resist. :tounge_out:
Thanks for a cute picture, from years gone by.
Take care. Cheryl
Nothing beats warm fresh milk.
lol..i have done that many times, Dayton...i used to milk cows regularly as a lad..dang, i hated getting up that early:confused2:
now i feed cats like that too............to my dogs:smile2:
Yessir,Dayton I have and every cat has thier own system of catchin it too ,some are very comical at drinking that squirt.
Now THAT'S what you call "cutting out the middle-man!!!"
Did ya notice the stool Ole? That one legged stool. Have my, my Dad's and my brothers stool here at home now. Ma saved everything. It is out by the old dinner bell in front of our home now. That stool is a chunk of Osage Orange with a white oak board nailed on top with cut nails. We parked our rears on that stool, twice a day, 365 days a year. Will tell ya a story sometime about milk and milking and the only lie my Mother ever uttered that I heard. She repeated that lie almost on a daily basis. I am sure she got demerits from God for it, but she had to do it.
no actually it was some guy who was standin there daring her to do it. he was lovin it.:cool2:
Thats a good honest pic. Thanks lmao
I feel deprived...:embarassed:
One half of the world will never understand the other half, and it doesn't matter which half you're in.
If I'm a cat and it wasn't a cow I'm in. LOL! Thanx for sharein Dayton. Ya always manage to put a smile on my face.
Phil, I can remember before I was old enough to help milk going to the cow lot with my tin cup. My brothers got a kick out of seeing how many cups milk I'd drank. I like that warm milk. I think they also fed me like the cats. :smile2:
We had one made of iron, the seat was an inspection plate from a tractor engine. Wish I'd kept it.
After we married my father in law was milking, a calf kept trying to suck, he got mad and kicked the calf in the head, hit a horn with his ankle and broke his foot. He got to wear a cast on his foot for quite a while. :smile2:
But we were sanitary, mom strained all the milk we saved for the icebox through a clean flour sack. That did get out the tail droppings.
Dumb me! I been giving reps to all that posted and then found out with the new rep thingy that you have to put in the % you wish to give. I been giving everyone 0.
Also I've hit my limit for today. :confused2: :embarassed: :sad2:
Even the juice???:smile2:
First Law of Travel: It always takes longer to get there than to get back.
