I would guess that 55 MPH is a bit optimistic. I'd say top end will be closer to 40 MPH

i know its not quite the same set-up, but i have an 18' all weld G3 c.c. with a yamaha 90 4 stroke. mine runs about 44-46 mph with 3/4 tank of gas and just me in it. i would say that 50-55 is kind of a stretch.

honestly, i never run my boat wide open unless there is a pretty girl on deck.

I've got an 2006 Alumacraft AW1860 with a 115 Suzuki , 21 pitch prop , wot 6000 rpm , speedo shows 48mph , gps shows 44mph , and it's a tunnel hull so theres not much motor down in the water when I get it trimmed way out . your're probley one or two hundred pounds lighter than me , so you should be with in a couple mph of this .
