How do you define Irony?

    I was listening to NPR today and there was a lobbyist... actually a reporter for Slate who posed as a lobbyist to get a story on what it is like to be a lobbyist... Anyway tht doesnt matter... what matters is this:

    She told us about Ted Kennedy writing a book about his dog. The dog's name? Splash. :rolleyes:

    :cool: NOW THAT IS IRONY.:cool:

    What do you gys and gals have to add to the Irony list? It doesnt have to be as funny as the one above.... just post it here.

    I don't know if you'd call this irony or an oxymoron but I think that it is pretty funny when you buy shrimp that are called "jumbo shrimp"
