State record in Texas for my primary target "blues" Ill never come close to. It stands at 121.5, mine record so far is 32.5. But the lake record where I got me 32.5 is 40ish, so I might have a chance at beating that.

For Bluecat... just over 1/2 the current record weight...

For Channels... on scale it was just under 1/2 weight but the fish bottomed out my scale and would have been a little over 1/2 weight-about 2/3 weight

Though I'm shooting to have both of those fall on the end of my line coming up in the next few years

We all know it's not about the records we all break, it's about the stories we get to lie about.

EDIT: I'm about 90 pounds away from the Iowa record for a blue.

I am about positive I've caught the Texas State Record hardhead. I think the record is 3 lbs or something but I've caught them bigger. A record hardhead...man, that is something to win a prize over!

Do they have a record for cockroaches too?

I caught a huge Gafftop once out in galveston bay, almost 15 lbs on the scale on the boat, we turned it loose, come to find out the state record is only 13.3 or so pounds. Biggest Channel I caught ever was a 19 lber, biggest blue is a 10lber caught recently, never caught a flathead.
