How big do you all think this is???

    Me and my dad set bank lines tryin to catch some turtles cuz let me tell ya good eatin right there!! But anyway instead of catchin a turtle we ended up catchin a hog!! I thought the fish weight around 30 to 35 lb but all my fishin buds say it barley breaks 20. what do you all think it weighs?

    I'd say 25 max...flatheads are very deceiving when it comes to looks and weight.

    i agree with your friends. bout 20 or so. sure hope you threw him back cuz he cant get to that "HAWG" status on our dinner plate. nice fish anyways too bad you didnt get to fight him on rod and reel

    I think 20 might even be pushing it. I would have guessed closer to 15ish.

    i would say 15-20 pounds,nice fish anyway.

    I would say that fish goes 20-22 lbs. Its a nice fish anyways.

    That's a nice fish but if you like them, put a hand under their belly not one in their gills.

    My guess would be 17 to 20 # max, Nice flathead, but not a Hog !

    I agree with most already, 16-18 lbs, still a nice fish and in another 3-4 years, he will be that 35 and you youll be strugling to hold him up at all...:wink:
    Just remember where you caught ( and released) him and in a few years he wil have added many thousands into the mix in the meantime for you to keep the occasional smaller one ( 3-4 lbs are the best ones to take if you really are after food)
