Two hats. One in the cooler and rotate them every so often. You will be surprised.

BG is right about that one ...You might also want to carry a small hand towel that you can dip in to your cooler get it nice and wet and put it on the back of your neck it will cool you down real quick.:eek:oooh:

Hey, I really like the hat in the cooler idea.
If I get to go soon, I think I will only fish in the shade.

at least some of the important parts
I usually either fish during the night. If I go out during the day, i wear some swim trunks and usually go for a swim every once in a while. Another thing is drink water-not pop. it'll help your body regulate the heat.

Top add a Bimini top to your boat. When you take the direct sunlight out of the picture, it makes a big difference.:smile2:

I am with Max - I just jump in for a swim every now and then. Keeps me pretty cool. Went out on Lake catherine yesterday and stayed all day. When we got hot we went for a swim. Fish did not bit worth a darn, but had fun never the less. Gotta work on the boat before going out again!

The "bimini" top is well worth the $. It will give you a quite a bit more time on the water!
