I fish with circle hooks and id like to know the best way to hook chubs, live shad, carp and bullheads

I understand that there are different ways to hook these fish but I would like to know the best for each.

    Thanks

I don't know if these are the best ways, but it's how I hook them. I hook bluegill through the nostril, since I'm usually fishing in the river with current and the hook doesn't pull out on me as bad when I cast like it does when I hook them through the back. I put the hook in their mouth and up and out the nostril.

Live shad I'll either hook like bluegill or through the eyes. I hook them low in the eye socket so I miss their eyball and just slide the hook through. Again, they don't seem to come off the hook as easily when you cast and you have the hook in the middle of their skull so its a little harder for a fish to get the bait of the hook.

    Good Luck!
