whats your setup for the big cats?
i usally use a #7 hook with 60 spiderwirebraid and a 2 ounce bank sinker

first i thread the sinker on not tying it in a knot to keep it in place.
then i put on a couple pinch sinkers about a foot from the end of the line
the reason being i like to keep my spool open so the fish can just run with the bait without the drag of the sinker,seems to work better for me.
then i tie my hook on.

sounds good to me
just about the same set up i use except for the line i use 50lb spider wire and depending on current use a 2-4oz weight

I LIKE A NO ROOL SINKER ( 3oz) SLIDE ONTO LINE ,THEN A 8mm BEAD ,THEN AN 2/0 SWIVEL, THEN TIE ME A 2ft LEADER WITH A 8/0 CERCLE SEA AND ABOUT A THER TO FOUR FINGER GILL AND WAIT BECAUSE MR WISKERS WILL COME AROUND AND THEN HANG ON:smile2:

Hey my set up on my cat poles I have 30 pound Berkley big game line and I use about a ounce sinker, and I use a circle hook to catch some catfish, ive had more luck out of it than any fish hook that I have used before.
