homemade shad tank

    any body have past experience buildn homade shad tanks. thinkn about usin 35 gallon barrel inside a 55 gallon barrel and buildin a filter system like grey lines tanks. feed back please

    matt,
    I have thought of the 33 gallon plastic drum inside a 55 gallon plastic drum too. If I were making this into a bait tank, I could cut it down smaller so it wasn't so tall. I would also set the smaller drum in the middle of the larger drum and fasten it in place with a couple of styrofoam blocks on the sides. Then I would fill the entire cavity with that spray expanding foam to insulate it and hopefully keep it cool in the hot months. I would plumb it with a livewell pump for fresh water.
