Anyone making up there own Sabiki Rig's?
I have been tying up some Sickle Hooks in size #4 and #6 for skipjack. Have not been out to try them yet.But I think being there made using the sickle hooks that the hook up rate should be great.
Hope to try them out next week.

Crappie jigs work really well if you do not want to go to all the trouble of tying up your own.

Yes but its hard to find crappie jigs with the sickle hooks. And i enjoy tying them up.
If the Sickle hooks give me a better hook % on skipjack there worth it. Also been using crappie jigs for them for over 30+ years. but always have a lot jump and throw the hook also.
Same with the little spoons for skipjack have more then I like throw the hook.

I curious how the rigs work with those hooks. For every skip that I get into the boat, I lose at least 5 when I use crappie jigs or spoons.

As soon as I can get out and try them. I will post the results.
Also have 2 other people that have the ones with the Sickle hooks. If they get out and try them before I get to. I hope they post how well they did for them.
