ANy one have pics or ideas that are cheap and easy to make?
Check out the BOC library. There are many different ideas for homemade rod holders. You can find the Library at the top of each page.
what I have seen is that they go buy some of those cheap red rod holders and walmart and then get som old rebar and weld it to it to make it longer and then at the bottom just weld bar across way to step on t put in the ground
There was a thread on here about that a while back with some pictures. Maybe look for it, I would except I dont know how to post a thread in a message, or check out the Library. i know some guys have made them out of PVC and other materials so try and search that thread. Good luck!
Look in this section. http://www.catfish1.com/forums/showthread.php?p=50475#post50475 Under rod holders
Theres more ways to make them and you can use.
get a peice bout 2 foot long bend about 4inch of it get u a 2 inch plastike pipe 3inch long and 2 pipe clamps there u go
My buddy james let me use some of his last time we went out cattin.
Simple: Take around a 2' section of 2" pvc pipe and cut the end diagonally so it makes a sharp point. Grab a rock/log or whatever and beat it into the ground. Works great, rod easily comes out without hassle, etc.
I like these better than any other homemade rodholders I've seen:
But these are easily made and handy for bank fishing, especially where it's difficult or impossible to stick a rod into the ground (or rocks or concrete):
for bank fishing I juct use PVC
How do you fish and what type of rods plz??
This has been my winter project it not glued together yet or bolted down.
Now I think that will work!
I hope it does me and my fishing buddy have had about 5 different prototypes and this is the best so far.
