For a quick No-Roll sinker mold, just use an old teaspoon or old soup spoon. Pour the lead in it and let it cool. Drill a hole in one end and you have a no-roll sinker. A teaspoon makes them between 1 and 2 oz, depending on how full you fill the spoon. A soup spoon between 1.5 and 3 oz. You can use a table spoon for larger sinkers. No need getting fancy...esp. if you fish in snag filled waters.
You can run your line right through the sinker if you wish but I use a sinker slide (sometimes called a fishfinder rig) so I can remove mine when not fishing. It keeps the rods from getting banged up by the sinkers when running between spots in the boat. They work great.
