Just thought I'd share a few pics of our tomatoes from this past week. We had several varieties this year as you will see. My husband, Matt, spent about half the day yesterday making two flavors of salsa and I helped him can it last night. Made about twenty pints.

Aw, man, I'm jealous. Your harvest is beautiful! As is your finished product. Thanks for sharing those pictures; your tomatoes look wonderful. Almost all of my cherry tomatoes have split before I pick them; we had a long dry spell, really hot weather, then we got rain, & I think that's what did it. I'm still waiting for some of my bigger tomatoes to ripen.

It is . Had some of the hot stuff yesterday evenin' on a taco salad. Woo hoo, I immediately ran for the milk jug :smile2:; however, THAT factor didn't overpower the flavor of the salsa.....which is key to me if I'm gonna eat somethin' spicy.

I asked for the "garden" salsa, but me ole best friend thought that wouldn't be hot enough for me .

Very nice indeed! Salsa is one of my favorite things. If you don't already, my secret is to add about a half teaspoon spoon of olive oil per pint while cooking. Try opening a jar and stirring some in to try it fist. You wont regret it!
