    1/3 part 3-in 1 oil
1/3 part Liquid Wrench penatrating oil
    1/3 part WD40

Bonds and stays on good and its thin
and you can make about a cup for around $12, that beats the crap out of $8 an ounce for hot sauce.
I useally mix it in a quart jar and pour it back in the empty 3-in 1 bottle

I'm not knocking hot sauce, but I clean my 2 Abu 7000's after every fishing trip and that's about 300 cleanings a season not to mention the 100 to 200 reels a season I clean for other people.
And that would take alot of hot sauce, before I started mixing my own I was useing about a bottle a mounth of hot sauce.
And I'm not saying my mix is as good as hot sauce, but its almost as good.
And if anybody's wondering what I use for greese, I use vassiline.
For removeing gunk an greese buildup syntetic safe gun scrub, Regular Gun Scrub melts some types plastic, WARNING BOTH TYPES OF GUN SCRUB WILL REMOVE THE WRITING ON YOUR REEL DECALS!!!, on the covers I use Hoppe's No. 9 solvent to dampen a rag and wipe the covers down.
