Well, I managed to get Holston river (upstream from the steam plant in Rogersville) to give up a good eating size channel late this evening. I posted the details in the Channel Catfish section, with a pic.

Anyone else here from the upper east TN area that is fishing above Rogersville??? And, doing any good??

This was the first time I had fished that area in 30 years or so. It is really just to far for me to drive on a consistent basis. I now live around 2 hours from that area.

But, no doubt, it is a very good area to fish. However, I think I will have to confine my fishing excursions to parts of the Holston or Watauga rivers that are located in/around/near Washington, Carter or Sullivan counties.
