Does anyone else miss the old days, when a player would snow the goalie and he would take a beating for it. I played hockey this year for a couple of teams racking up 20 points and 145 pims in 10 games. I filled the niche on the teams for a fighter. So heres a tribute to the tough guys of the past. First up is Derek Boogard fight music video. He is now a rookie in the NHL.

I can remember fondly the good old brawlers on ice. It used to be fun especially if you saw two goalies go at it. Now a days the fighting is toned down so much with the new instigator rule and all, quite frankley I find NHL to be boring. I can remember years ago watching the AHL play and there would be bench clearing brawles and one night even watched a player go into the stands to fight some fans. Ohhh the good old days.

The fights were the only reason I would even think about watching hockey. Now I couldnt tell you anthing about it, might as well watch golf.

Rodney Dangerfield used to say"I went to a heavyweight championship fight and a hockey game broke out":p The players are paid to much today to send an "Enforcer" out to deal with them.

Todays fighter is Doug Doull for the washington Capitals he is a good scrapper. First video is him not getting the best of Eric Cairns of the Penguins(GO PENGUINS!!! second video is the fight against Andre Roy. ANd the last video is him blasting and cutting Donald Brashear of the Philedelphia Flyers.

I went to a hockey game about 30 yrs ago and to just one little league baseball game. I couldn't see the difference between the hockey fans and the parents of the little league players.

I got a free ticket from the guy I worked for at the time. As a side job, he was the penalty time keeper for the Cleveland Barons. He must've PO'd somebody pretty bad because there is no protection glass in front of the penalty box and somebody smacked the puck right into his eye. Man, what a shiner he was sporting.

i could only find one video of Marco Caprara. Is the little bald guy fighting Bain. Marco is a wopping 5'7" 175. And hasnt lost a fight this year. Taking down fighters such as Jeff State who is 6'7". But if you ever see a local team around you playing the Bombers i highly suggest seeing him play.

I love hockey. It looks slow on TV but if you ever go to a game the speed is crazy!
