highway 10 landing

    we had a good day a fishing today! we fished highway 10 landing, 18 keepers, 5 channel and 13 blues, biggest was a 8lb. blue. it was windy with gust around 25mph. but we just humped up and got after it!

    Did you fish the river or stay in the backwater around the ramp? Sounds like a good day :cool2:.

    johnny we fished the river, all were caught in 8 ft.to 20ft.

    highway 10 near braggs by camp gruber, this strech of road runs between gore and ft.gibson, right below greenleaf lake

    i fished kerr sort of yesterday. some 3 footers as i crossed the lake and got near the mouth of sans bois. made me glad i own a lund deep v other wise i would have stayed home. caught a mess of blues up in sans bois out of the wind. wasn't bad as i went back to applegate in the afternoon.

    john there are some real nice camp ground across the road at greenleaf state park also across the river from highway 10 landing is spainard creek its a corp. campground that you can get too from 64 highway around martin. come on down

    i know some who don`t even get their poles out until november and will quit when the water warms back up, it don`t get too cold for them. me i just fish all year around ,i don`t matter to me

    i had a great day fishing at 10 today! won`t say how many but i`ll tell you that i had my limit caught around noon. nothing big,but all were keepers

    water temp. was 50 friday morning and 52 later that after noon. air temp. was pretty rough friday morning, after catching bait i had ice all over the deck it was around 9:00 beffore it melted. all the larger fish were ful of shad, not so on the smaller cats

    all fish were caught in the river, 10 ft. and deeper some were in 30ft. water, also these fish were caught on a sandy bottom, i tried to fish structure with no luck

    how was the bite? you say the larger fish were full of the bellies on shad, were they biting eagerly or do you mean they weren't eating very heavily?

    they were a mixed lot some busted the bait clicker and some i had to jerk into the boat, i noticed most of these fish were laying on the bottom,so they must not be feeding all the time,
