With all the water currently flowing, where's the best place to fish? I know my usual spots will be under quite abit extra water so fish same locations or ??? Any input is appreciated!

BTW -- I'll be fishing anywhere between Hermann and St. Charles.

i dont know much about the lay of the land there but when working in texas ,ever time the river left its banks, the locals would head fot the pastures on the sides of the river.it seemed that as soon as the water went to running across the floded flats the fish moved out of the main channel and started to gorge themselves.

i agree. when the water comes up, hit the flood plains. the cats use it as a buffet bar.

I agree with the post above.

Find a place you can fish where it's flooded a field and fish it?
When the water rises and get into the fresh grass, it brings out the worms and the fish love it.

You have to fish it while the water is rising. If the water starts to drop, they head back towards the lake/river.

A few years back, one of the local rivers rose and it flooded the city park. We fished it 2 or 3 days and we ended up catching 300+ cats. :006:

    It was a blast!
