Soon the high intensity will be switched from a voluntary OPT-IN area to a registered area where access is requested and later approved.

The basis of the change is simply more control.

Many threads that get heated we chuck into high intensity and allow them to unfold in the hopes they stay civil.

Some of these threads are really good, and contain some great exchanges, such as the recent Trot-Line Debate.

But at times these threads will steer into threats of bodily harm.

Currently we do not have the manpower to go through the 20 Private Mail Cycle on most complaints, it is just easier for us to close it down and move it off site once it crosses the line.

With the high intensity going to a gated system, we can modify the one post, and remove the one individual from access, and then conduct the private mail chain on our time schedule.

It will be best for all, and help those that really do like to engage in topics that they find passion in, free from people who are only present to cause strife in the membership.

When this change happens everyone will be booted from the HI area, and will need to sign-up like you did before. Those accounts will placed in a holding que until approved.

    Just a thought.

Is the music thread going to stay there too, cuz that means that you can only participate in the Music Category by request too. Some will NEVER know it's there cuz if you aren't HI you can't see it there with High Intensity, is that not correct...I know if I'm not logged in, it collapses the HI area and just reads Private to the side, does it do the same if you logged and NOT a participant of HI?

    LOL!

Only thing that I care about is the threats.

This will fix it, and allow the member to stay on the BOC if they wish to do so.

For those that are worried that the Russian Hammer is swinging the Mighty Blade Of Injustice, "its simple"..

Dont threaten to bash anybodys head in... :smile2:

This is simply a way for me to save on work.

Equation: Dude says he will step on throat and squash head like bug for touching his fishing pole, boot dude from HI, move (1) post, answer pm(s) when I feel like it.

    This is now active.

Changes will only impact people who join the HI area from this point forward.

If you are currently in the HI area, you need to do nothing, everything works as before.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are removed from HI, you can apply to get back in through the new process.

We are not looking to remove anyone, and would hate to do so.

Threats made against another individual would warrant removal.

Speakin of the great Trot Line debate, I went to HI to get caught up and I dont see it. Am I to assume that it went thermonuclear and got pulled before it reached critical mass?

It seems everyone is tuff behind the ol' computer screen . I think I will change my signature to say . If you would like to bash my head please feel free to do so . I live 7 miles North of Exit 50 off I64 once you hit the big town of New Minden I am 3 blocks east of the Blue room tavern . Look for the white house with white garage and 40 foot dog kennels .
