Hickory Wood

    I am in hot pursuit of some hickory wood that I can cut. If you know where I can obtain some hickory wood, please contact me via the BOC, PM etc...

    chris, i get my hickory at home depot. it comes in big chunks great for the grill or smoker. hope this helps.

    What Matt said. I don't know where you can cut any, but there are a few places around here that sell it, just like firewood, only in slightly smaller chords. That way you get the big pieces of split hickory, not just the chunks.

    Anyone with any Hickory on their land, are pretty protective of it, if they even know what it is.

    I guess that just depends on what you want it for. Making gun stocks or toothpicks?

    I have a dead one on a rental property I own that I need to have removed before it falls on the house. Planned to have a tree service take it down one of these days as it is close to the house and will need to be cut a section at a time. They are plentyful around here.
