Hey Kevin (Zoelife), are you catching anything on the river there?
I'm off Tuesday and Wednesday and I thought I might head that way and try my luck?

Besides there at the bridge on highway 10, is there any other good areas to bank fish around there along the river?

Let me know how you did Sunday night?

Hey ken,I did not go fishing sunday night.thought I would save it for tonight. It was a bit windy, and I didnt want to be out there if it cooled down, well it didnt cool down.lol.And tonight the low is supposed to be about 70.
There is a spot just east up the road from the smoke shop by the 10 bridge,I have not ever fished there, but I stopped and looked at it last year, and it seems pretty nice.you will see some tire tracks leading off the road into the grass. It goes down to a rocky or concrete slab.supposed to be very deep there.
There is another spot here by the house which leads down to a GRDA site, which then leads out to a small Island which I wouldnt mind checking out.I fished the island a few weeks ago with my neighbor,he was looking for bass, and I was looking for cats,we were on the east side of it and I caught a few decent cats. From the GRDA site,it is a bit of a walk. But it may be worth it.
From the GRDA site there is about a half mile of shoreline to fish from.I have fished it a few times and never really did as good as I thought I should have. But maybe I was there at the wrong times.
To get to the GRDAE spot, you go north on 10 past the casino, and yutrn right at the first road after it..It is at the top of the hill. Then go to turkey ford school and turn right on the road across from turkey ford school.it will be pavement for just a bit then turn to dirt road.God down all the way until you come to a curve going to the left, you dont want to go left, but keep going straight down the rocky road, you will see a sign which says no trespassing, but ignore it.It is speaking fo the pavilion which is in the field to the left of that road.go down and upppp, and downnn, then you will be at the rivers edge which is a GRDA site.
I wouldnt mind fishing from the rocks on the bridge at 10.but I dont think right now with my broken toe, that would be a good idea.
I havent did too bad on the dock which is just behind the smoke shop there at 10 bridge.I would think one could park in the smoke shop parking lot and fish anywhere along there.and the place I told you about earlier in the post is just up the road from there.maybe 100 yards or so.
I am not sure where I am going to fish today/tonight.I wish you could go fishing with me on the dock I go ot,but it is private, and I barely get to fish on it without being told some new rule.LOL
I think of all the spots I have spoken of,the island by the GRDA site would be a pretty good one.I will hantg out here onsite for awhile and see if I can catch you when you get home.If not I may go give the island a shot..
    Peace and Plenty,
    Kevin

Hey Kevin, I wish I could have made it up there tonight, but that thing called work got in the way?
I'm going to head that way in the mourning and see what kind of spots I can find?
I haven't done much fishing around Miami, but there at the park and a couple times there at the #10 bridge, so I don't know where all the good holes are?
I'm going to try the places you mentioned above and see if I can find any cats?
I'll be online for a little bit tonight and I'll keep checking to see if your online, and I'll recheck before I leave in the mourning?

Well Ken,so much for my usual fishing spot.Last night I was told by the owner that I could not fish there anymore due to the fact that others were asking if they could fish there..SO....I guess I will be looking for new places to fish myself..lol...
Anyway,at least if I find any other places,I will be able to tell you about them and will be able to invite you...although the places I spoke about in my last post here are still open to anyone.
    Peace and Plenty,
    Kevin

    That kind of bites!
it's getting harder and harder to find good places around here to fish without a boat.

I went out a few hours and tried a few spots you mentioned plus a couple more and didn't have any luck anywhere.

The kids want to go tonight, so I think we'll hit Bernice tonight?

Ken, I used to live over on the elk river arm of the lake. you may also want to try the area at the boat launch at king point. never really caught any monsters over there but did have pretty decent luck from time to time. Just thought it may give you another spot to try.

I didn't know that Jim had changed the rules over at king point. But there are alot of good fishing spots over that way. Maybe you can try the boat launch at the end of mission road.
