I'm here in a class until Friday May 9th. I brought one pole and tackle. I'm near Harris Corners Parkway. I would like to go fishing Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. I don't want to hang out at the hotel all week. Can someone point me in the right direction? Is there a place to go close by? PM me or respond to post.

    Thanks Craig

Just looking for a place to kill some time. How about a few answers.
Is the discharge at Cowan Ford Dam and is there bank access?
How late can you fish there and is it safe?
How about using a Sabaki are they leagal here for bait fish?

There is an access area below the Mt. Island dam in Mt. Holly which is just west of Charlotte on Hwy. 273 in Gaston County. Take I-85 from Charlotte south to the Belmont-Mt. Holly / Hwy. 273 exit and turn right. Travel through Mt. Holly and you will see the signs on your right just past the Freightliner plant.
