HELP

    WAS out on the great OHIO RIVER this evening coming back from catching bait on my way to my favorite catfishing hole and it HAPPEN.My 1978 75h/p Johnson just quit on me,no smoke ,no dang,no nothing.Always used super unleaded with 50 to 1 mix.All i get now is Click Click Click,any help would be great.Thanks Aaron

    Well, first off, does it turn over? Does it have a way to rotate the engine? See if it is froze up.
    If it turns, then I'm thinking it's an electrical problem.
    Might pull the starter and see if it works properly, if engine turns and starter works then probably looking at a bad ground or a loose connection.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Charged the the deepcell full turned the prop about a half a turn and the dang thing fired up and starts like nothings wrong.But why did it just die at 20mph and would not turnover until I turned the prop.Something just isnt right.Any help would be great Thanks Aaron

    Check your plugs and see if any of them have water dropplets on it or has been cleaned real well and do a compression test.
