Dangit! I didn't see this one in time. What kind of roast was it? Stri fry was your best choice for fast vittles. Can't make a good soup in an hour. Nor a good roast.

I like to slow cook a roast. Use a indirect method on a charcoal grill. Make a pile of charcoal on either side of your grill leaving the center open. Put foil in the center open section beetween the coals. Let it slow cook. You can cook any large cuts of meat like this. I even did a whole turkey once.

Well its got to be done and ate at this time.
Stew is a good ideal and I can make a good one.
My wife does a stove top roast and dang good gravy in an Iron pot with lid.
Takes bout and hour but better in 2 hours.

Bottom line. Go with BG's advice. Get off the putter and get to cooking. LOL.

Easy and tasty but not fast. Put a can of cream of mushroom soup, a package of onion soup mix and a roast in the crock pot, cook on low for about 8 hours are until it falls apart when you try to pick it up. It works in the oven to just cook it on 250 for about 5-6 hours.
