Ive always used dip bait for channels. And I havent fish in a few years and now have gotin back at it and want to go after some bigger channels, blues, and flatties. I fish the mississippi from New Madrid to Crauthevillie and a few lakes in the area like Reelfoot and Wappappela. I was hopen that yall could cut out some of the trail and error for me and give me some good advice. Me and my buddy dont really know where to get started. Thank yall if yall can help.

best advice i can give you is live bait (gills, shad, skipjack, the bigger the bait the bigger the fish) and structure, think deep holes, rock piles, sunken timber.

cutbait can also be a good bait for bigger fish. The bigger piece of cutbait that you use, the bigger the fish that you can expect to catch. :cool2:
