A flame spreader is a flat plate consisting of 2 pieces of metal with holes in them, spaced about an inch apart. It sets on the burner of a gas stove and spreads the flame under a large pot so that there isn't one small hot spot where stuff tends to burn. My old one finally bit the dust, and I really want to replace it, but I can't find one. Anybody got any info on where I might buy one? :0a35:

No, sorry, but that one is designed to fit a specific model stove. The one I'm looking for just sets on top of a burner, and can be picked up and moved to another burner, just as easily as moving a skillet.
