I just got this old '57 Glasspar Avalon. It's got a big 50 hp Evinrude and an antique Humminbird. The rest is just a shell. It's my spring and summer project. Before I get started though, I want a name for the boat. Let's hear some ideas.
Jeff, you had a lot of good suggestions, but I think this should be a personal thing, something YOU feel about your new fishing vessel. I named my Catoon "Catfish Fever" because that's what I have. I designed my own logo for it, it's on my truck, my T-shirts, my sweatshirts, my personalized USPS stamps, sweatshirts.
Just give it some time, and it'll come to you. When YOU name it, it'll be YOU!
Naw, Titanic's been done to death. Like Catfish Fever said best to go with
what you feel its name should be. Gives the boat luck that follows your own
luck. You don't have to go to quite the lengths Jim did though. Its like he's
working up publicity and name recognition for a brand name. Not that I
wouldn't buy everything he marketed since most of the stuff he's told me
made sense. Here I am babbling agin....
