I am a natural born Texan. I was born at Brooks Army Hospital in San Antonio.
in 1953. My Dad was in the Air Force. He was stationed all over Texas at one time or the other. We came back to Alabama before I was a year old. My Dad
loved to fish and always talked about fishing the Red River and Lake Texoma.
He always talked about a fishing platform set up for disabled vets and how
nice it was and how well the disabled vets were taken care of. Do any of you
know the location of this place? Thanks

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but they do have a wheelchair-accessible bank fishing area. You can also call the US Army Corps of Engineers, they might know some more spots.

    Dam Site Park
Take Texas 91 north from Denison to dam. Take FM 1310 west about 300 yards to park entrance
Multi-lane ramp handles boats up to 26 feet
    Wheelchair-accessible bank fishing area
    Launch fee required
    Open all year
Operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers (903) 465-4990
