headwater diversion channel

    anyone on here fish the headwater diversion channel. I caught a flathead and a channel cat last sunday. along with some bluegill

    To answer your question, No. Could you tell me what this "headwater diversion channel" is and if I wanted to check it out how would I find it? Thanks and have a good one.

    it is between scott city mo and cape girardeau mo you have to get off at the dutchtown exit you cross over it on I55 there is a bridge over it.
    A few miles down from the boat ramp it dumps into the mississippi river. i have caught a buttload of bluegill. quite a few channel cats and the occasional flathead.:wink:

    it is a large drainage ditch for multiple streams including castor river and ramsey creek

    never fished it but i do know some guy shot an 150ish(not positive on this but it was big) or so alligator gar out of it a few years back.

    ya i heard about that one there was about a 50 lb gar laying on the bank last sunday
