The whole site seems different. Don't know if it is my advanced age, my computer, or did things change again.

Nope, your eyes do NOT deceive you sir, we have had an upgrade. The site shut down for about an hour earlier on this morning to put it in place.

We are slowly transitioning into a cleaner, more simplified and streamlined appearance.

We are incorporating many of the recommendations from members in the recent past, such as:

    • Right side column content causing pages to load slowly
    • Overall page size
    • Bloat of pages
    • Simplification of links directory
    • Mismatch colors
    • XML compliancy
    • Some features repetitive, “Showing new post count when its shown upon clicking new post”.

And many other member driven changes. We listen, learn from you, and act.

    Thanks,
    Paul

The most common request was having one location for links to community functions, "with an explanation of what it is".

This idea is slowly being enacted, and available at the top of the forum for fast reference:

I recomend adjusting your monitor. As your monitor gets older you dont notice the color differences that much until you adjust it. WOW!

Some of the video cards have a console. Particularly the higher end 3D models.
You can use that console to bring you the WOW! factor with all sorts of controls.

If you arent liking the looks tinker around with your color controls , contrast, focus, etc a little.
I'll gauarantee you will like what you see.

I just went through this same adjustment on another board I'm on. It went from rich colors to white and shades of gray. I tried to adjust my monitor, but gave up because it ruined the colors on my other boards.

Some consoles will allow you to profile settings or "save as".
Its not uncommon for gamers to have to change settings from one game to another.

This is gonna take some getting used to, for sure. Now the BOC looks like every other Catfishing website on the WWW. I thought our boldness to step out into the unordinary was "part" of our success. The other parts cannot be changed, which is our family bond, willingness to help others, and comrodery!!! The BOC will stand out in any crowd and, I am proud to be part of it.
