I know a lot of commercial carp base mixes have hemp seed so I guess it couldn't hurt to give it a shot. Let us know if it works.

I think it would be worse than a carp scale covering the point of your hook! you would never get a good hook set even if they did like it......:monkey:

I've heard of hemp seeds used in boiled carp baits, but I'd much rather dig a few holes in secluded places and strategically camoflauge the results. :Money:

so whats the goal ? hope they get the munchies lol just foolin with ya iv heard soy bags work to draw in fish . personally i dont care for any thing other than the hunt but if you dont have a boat and or fish finder it makes it hard to find where the fish are located . your best bet if fishing from the bank is to try and set up on a spot where bait fish gather live springs , creek mouths , eddies , down current from rock beds , high banks usually offer deep holes where fish will rest . or theres the route your trying to take but that may take some time to draw in the fish , if you put the right bait out to draw in baitfish from the area you plan to fish then yeah preditor fish will come but finding the right bait is the key . good luck
