wat kinda bait can i make with some old hamburger?
You could actually do a lot with hamburger.
You could make a dough ball out of it using different substances and chemicals.
You could add anise oil or garlic salt to stinkin it up a bit.
Just a few suggestions.
Mix it with some cheese or brains. If you mix up something that doesn't want to stay on the hook, mix in some cattail fuzz.
I have a recipe for ya'. I used to use it as a kid fishing in paylakes.(shhhhh do'nt tell anyone) I got it from an old colored guy that caught big ones all the time.
Ingredients : Hamburger, Chicken Livers, Cream cheese, Oatmeal
I put a tub of chicken livers in a blender and chop em up into almost liquid form, add them to about a pound or so of hamburger meat. then add a couple of boxes of cream cheese and then add the oatmeal. try to leave the mixture a little too soft to use as it will cure in the refridgerator. If you add too much oatmeal it will dry out and be too hard to use. If it's a little soft add some shredded cotton, or even cattails at the fishing spot. I have a buddy that swears by adding some anise oil, another that uses garlic. but, the basic ingredients are the same as listed above. I dont use much in the way of prepared baits anymore. but, I caught a lot of fish on hamburger when I was using it.
cotton balls work real well for holding your bait together also
My buddy swears by hamburger mixed with stove top stuffing!
Griz would be crying at this post.
