sorry dude, was gonna post a reply earlier and forgot lol. i had a freind who's dad used to use a raw burger concoction and tear the channels up. he would buy the burger with the most fat in it (chuck?) and also buy a huge can of parmesan cheese and mix it together, he would keep it chilled in a cooler and make doughballs out of it. it worked really well for him but as a kid i didnt have the patience to learn how to cast it without flinging it off the hook lol. i guess if you would use trebbles it would hold better, he always just used a j-hook. if im buying burger im going to eat it!

I have used hamburger and parmesian in ponds. It works well with channels under a float. You should try to keep it as cold as you can, in a cooler with ice when fishing. When it warms up, it won't stay on a hook at all. Use a treble and just cast gently. It will fall off soon, every little bite will take your bait.

I have tried hamburger and Wheaties. I have rule for my homemade prepared baits, that if you have carp in your water then stay away from corn products.

I have done fairly well on channel cats with spoiled burger, bacon grease and wheaties or corn flakes mixed together. Sometimes add some grated cheese and garlic salt.

I never heard of using them, but if it work's, it's worth giving it a try.

Does it help keeping the bait on the hook, or is it the flavor the cats like?
