There have been some really good discussions about bouncing bait along river riffles, raising it up with a jigging motion occasionally to get the bait off the bottom and drifting with the current. What about using Gulp worms or other artificials to do the same thing?

I have used the gulp maggots and worms in a pinch and have done well catching bream/brim/gills and the occasional small (under 6 inch) catfish. Real night crawlers do catch bigger fish though.

I have caught channels on the worms. Usually around boat ramps at night.
