guide replacement

    hey all u rod builders i have a question for you
    a couple of my guides are losse and one broke off and my question is what is the correct way to repair this

    here is my idea tell if u'all think it will work

    i have stripped all the guides and sanded back to blank then i but down some hysol aircraft resin and applied the guides back on and clamped down . then tomorrow or the next day i will clean it up again then lay thin weave glass and some strands of graphite composite and wrapp the guides with 2 layers and let set up

    do yall think this would be the best way thanks for readin and helpin :cool2:

    don,t know how flexable that stuff is make this post in fishing rod review someone in that thread may give you better advise on this i,ve always wrapped mine on with nylon thread

    Just as Randy said, use size D nylon thread,and If you have no flexcoat epoxy for the finish,I would go with something that is flexable and clear when cured.Kenny:wink:
