Well the slow summer bite at Griggs is finally showing signs of picking up just a little. Fished there last night for about 3 hours and had a handful of runs (WHOOPEE!). One run was on a live gill and had another on a cut gill head but i missed 'em both (what else is new right?). I finally landed a decent 26 1/2 incher that weighed in at 7 lbs on a chunk of ROTTEN SIRLOIN (desperate times call for desperate measures). As you can see by the pic below, the fish had numerous growths (kinda similar to Netman Jack's) on one side of it's head/body. I looked it up and i guess the correct term for it is "Gravelitis Banktitis". I also included pics of the kid's two channels he caught in the same spot a few nights earlier (he twisted my arm). Hope the bite continues to improve. It's been a rough summer!
