Last night while fishing down at the creek I noticed a guy fly fishing. At first I was like he is out of his mind fly fishing in a creek in Cen. Texas. Then I noticed him pulling in three times as many fish. Long story short I got out fished and ended up getting a free schooling on fly fishing in Texas.. Note: He was pulling in catfish on a fly rod.

    His setup as follows:

Fly rod with reel and what he called level fly line it was white in color. A 6 foot leader of 8 pound mono fishing line. Now the way he was fishing. On the 6 foot leader he had a bobber a split shot weight and a small fishing hook and using a live crickets as bait. Wow never seen this before. He was rolling the line on top of the water not like you would think a fly fisherman would fish. He was deadly with this setup he could put it in any spot at any distance..
