Darryl Smith gave a great presentation to the members of the club Wednesday. As always he was full of information from years of fishing the Santee Cooper lakes.

His observations of the 2007 season so far are in line with many guides and fishermen I have spoken with. The early rise in water temperatures have had an unusual effect on the spawn, thus affecting traditional fishing locations for certain times of the year. The good news is that most of that will stabilize and be back to normal by the end of June unless we have some odd temperature swings.

Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge with us Darryl!!!

Thanx Mr. Prez for presenting another great program. Capt. Darryl has forgotten more about catfishing than most of us will ever know. His remarks about wind, water surface temp. and fresh bait was right on target. I noticed we had five or six new guest, which is a good thing. Again thanks to Capt. Darryl for a great program.
