I fished from 6:30am-10:30am on Lake Norman today. Water depths fished ranged from 50-107 feet, with fish being caught suspended in 30-40 feet of water. The water was 89 degrees at sunrise, and I am sure it will climb into the lower 90's this afternoon. I was fishing straight underneath the boat.

Frozen threadfin shad was the bait. Fished whole, these frozen baits outperformed perch and bream. I had two nice 11 pound blues, and the rest were 3-7 pounds. By 10:30am it was hot and there was no wind to be found, so I ended the trip with 17 fish in four hours of fishing.
