My 7-year-old daughter and I had the opportunity to fish with Steve Brown today on Truman Lake. Bait was easy to get - 2 throws of the net and we were ready to fish. The weather was just about perfect, and the bite was steady all day long, picking up a bit in the mid-afternoon. We ended the day with 25 fish in the boat, nearly all of them reeled in by my daughter. And to make her day even better, she landed a 22 lb monster, her biggest blue cat by far and even a tad bigger than her older brother's PB. Nearly all of the fish came from 35 ft of water or so; a few were found in the bottom of the old river channel. Water temp was about 71F and the weather was warm and mostly clear, upper 70's, with a strong south wind. Thanks again to Steve brown for making it a great day!
