Grand Lake of the Cherokees

    If you live in NW Arkansas you need to run over and fish this lake. We went this weekend and it was slow but everything we caught was over the five pound mark.:smile2: We put in at Honey Creek State Park very nice place and close to very good fishing.

    yep, I have heard that too about Grand. One of my former students and his dad fish it a lot in the fall. They drift big flats in about 30 foot of water with shad. I don't know the exact area except it is on Grand lake.
    They sometimes come home with over 100 pounds of catfish, mostly blue and channels.
    Keep us posted if you make a return trip over there.

    Plan to return there many times this fall. The odd thing was the spoonbills jumping out of the water. One did it right in front of the boat when I was wraping up a jug almost fell in.:embarassed:
