    Scheduled to open Jan. 1, 2006 Hualapai Indian Reservation
    Juts about 70 feet into the canyon, 4000 ft above Colorado River
    Will accommodate 120 people comfortably (how comfortable would you be?)
    Built with more than a million pounds of steel beams, and includes dampeners that minimize the structure's vibration
    Designed to hold 72 million pounds, withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake 50 miles away, and withstand winds in excess of 100 mph
    The walkway has a glass bottom and sides...four inches thick .

    Dear Brother Parker;
    Maaannn that WOULD be something to do! :smile2:
    I just have to wonder how soon it will be done and how much it will cost to walk on it and just how many different "legalized" forms you will have to sign to walk on it???????
    It will be interesting to see if it can even be built without too many "Save The Canyon" groups, Federal Lawsuits, Congress an d ALL the other Grabbermint divisions, committees, ect, The Parks Board, The ........ well I'm sure you get the idea by now!! :lol:
    Keep us informed on that one and if you have a website for it please send it to me or post it for everyone to go look at!
    Last I heard, the "Crazy Horse Memorial" was not finished yet either!
    Thanks For Sharing!:smile2:

    My first question is; Are they going to let us fish off of it? I am sure one would need a loooooooong landing net, since lip-landing one would pose a problem, LOL!!!

    I think something like that would be a blast!!!

    So, they're opening this Grand Canyon Skywalk, what's everyone's opinion of it? Fun or scary? Think I'd be more likely to take a donkey down to the bottom - not so sure that's my kinda thing to do :lol:. Here's a link to the official website for info and pics.
