in the curve by evansville the depth is arond 22-27' after the curve it drops to 48+' would that be a potential spot or do i need to look for actual "holes" and if i need actual holes , what makes a hole 5' drop ~ 10' drop??

    Roger,
Holes can be anything from a 6 inch depression in a shallow creek to an eighty footer in a big river. Anything that gives a little protection from current is a place to check out...W

Look for structure there and if there is baitfish in the hole. If so, it would be a good place to set up on. Productive holes can change from one day to the next. Another factor is you might mark fish in there with your graph, but they may be non-active. Try fishing it for about 30-45 minutes. If no bites, then move on to the next spot.

that hole is a good hole but you have to find the fish in it there not stacked up in there like you would think if your going to fish it you got to get a good fish finder an look for the humps up an down there the fish will be laying in behind the humps i was fishing close to there last year in feb. an cought 150lb of fish in 2 1/2 hours by my self

I would try fishing the drop off between the two spots, fish will hold on slopes and shelfs where baitfish will pass above.
