Finally Elwood Res. in Gosper Co. Nebraska received water as of last Saturday night. The massive amount of rainfall during the memorial day weekend was quite overwhelming. Amounts of 10" was received at the Johnson Lake area with flooding in Gosper and Dawson counties. The excess was has been deverted into Elwood Res. via gravity flow. Not sure for how long. I've heard stories of the lake being raised 20', to keeping the water flowing all year. Needless to say I did catch 4 nice Channels cats due to the muddinees of the water. The cats weighed 6, 6.5, 6.5 and 7.5 lbs. respectively. I was using liver and shad gizzards when I caught these cats. Hopefully after a few days the water will clear up and the fishing will be better yet. Next weekend should rock. Stay tuned!! Thanks. BOC brother Mark..
